Unfortunately, there were rubber strips/cables loose on the outside of the window frames and they were repeatedly slapping against the windows due to the wind outside. Unfortunately, at the Rio there was no seating area where you could even sit outside to have a beer or a coffee for the whole of my stay! Why not do the pool refurb in stages, so at least you have a partly open outside area with a Bar? So, I was put up in the masquerade tower The room, although dated, was clean and the bed was super comfy, so looking forward to a good night’s sleep after a 10-hour flight. The pool was closed, which I understand some other resorts do at the end of October.
